VICTOR FREEDEKE NAMED CAPTAIN OF THE WASAGA RIVER DRAGONS

The Wasaga River Dragons are proud to announce that forward #21 Victor Freedeke has been named the second captain in franchise history.

A cornerstone of the River Dragons’ identity, Freedeke has embodied the heart, discipline, and relentless work ethic that define our organization. Since joining the team, he has consistently led by example—on and off the ice—earning the respect of his teammates, and staff. 

“Victor represents everything we want this franchise to stand for,” said the River Dragons’ coaching staff. “His commitment, competitiveness, and leadership have set the standard for what it means to wear the River Dragons jersey.”

As captain, Freedeke will guide a new era of River Dragons hockey—one built on pride, unity, and the pursuit of excellence. With his leadership, the team looks to continue building its legacy both in the Greater Metro Hockey League and in the community of Wasaga Beach.
