25/26 SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE

Official Statement – Wasaga River Dragons
While this season did not end with the result we were chasing, there is no question that the 2025–26 campaign was a remarkable one for the Wasaga River Dragons organization.
In just our second season in the GMHL, our team set a standard of excellence—finishing with an outstanding 32-5-5 record, capturing 1st place in the North Division, proudly hosting the 2026 All-Star Game, and ultimately being crowned North Division Champions. This group represented our community with heart, pride, and relentless compete every single night.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who made this season possible. To our players and staff for their commitment and professionalism, to our billets for opening their homes and supporting our athletes, and to our sponsors and fans for your unwavering support—thank you. The energy in our building all season long was second to none, and it played a major role in our success.
A special thank you goes out to our graduating players for choosing Wasaga as the place to finish their junior careers. You have left a lasting impact on this organization:
#3 Lucas Decaluwe
#8 Max Lindholm
#9 Alexis Paradis
#13 Graham Rooney
#15 Artur Kharisov
We are incredibly proud of each of you and wish you nothing but success in your future endeavors, both on and off the ice.
While falling short in the Russell Cup Finals is difficult, this experience will fuel us moving forward. Our organization is built on a commitment to development, winning, and community, and we will be back—stronger, hungrier, and ready to compete for a championship once again.
Thank you, Wasaga Beach, for an unforgettable season.
